Thursday, January 24, 2019 7:00 p.m. Frank Duca Funeral Home 1622 Menoher Blvd, Johnstown, PA 15905 November 26, 1939 - January 21, 2019 Donald G. Shearman - 79, of Hollsopple, passed away at home surrounded by his wife and sons on January 21, 2019. He was born November 26,1939 in Johnstown, son of Harry and Edith (Rhodes) Shearman. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth and sister in law Sally. Survived by his loving wife of 34 years Carla (Massimo); 3 sons, Daniel Blough married to Jennifer, Derek Shearman, and Mathew Shearman; sister Shirley, wife of Jack Rager; brother in law Rick Massimo married to Carol; sister-in-law, Elyce Grimes; nieces Abby and Molly Massimo, Sarah Grimes and nephew Evan Grimes. Also, children Cindy Davis, Jodi Napora, and Scott Shearman, and his 4 legged best friend Presley. Don was a wonderful husband and father that loved his family and always put them first. He was also an avid Elvis fan and collector. He worked in the wholesale plumbing and heating industry for over 45 years where he loved his job as a salesman and always said his customers were his friends first while helping them "Taking Care of Business!"Friends received from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at FRANK DUCA FUNERAL HOME, WESTMONT CHAPEL, 1622 MENOHER BLVD. Funeral Service will begin at 7PM at the Funeral Home. Pastor Toby Holland, celebrant. Private Interment. For the remainder of January, we will be collecting Lip Balm and Travel Size Hand Sanitizer. Stockings will be in the narthex & reception office to put the items in. ^ Super Bowl Sunday, February 3: Join us in Fellowship Hall following worship on Sunday, February 3 as we recognize Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday with an afternoon of games and a meal of soup, rolls, desserts, and beverages. Bring your favorite board game or a deck of cards to play before and after lunch. Dessert donations appreciated. A free-will offering will be collected to offset meal costs. Sign up in the narthex or reception office, or email the church. This event will be a good time for all ages. Get you game on before the big game! ^ We are collecting items for the Walnut Grove Food Pantry for the Allegheny Synod's 40,000 Can Challenge which will run through Feb. 3. 237 items have been collected to-date; the Synod-wide total is currently 14,750. ^ Canned goods donated on Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday will also count toward the 40k Can Challenge.
